County commissioners voted unanimously Saturday to authorize paying a ransom, but they haven't voted yet on making such a payment.

A $5 million grant from the National Science Foundation designates IU's Center for Trustworthy Scientific Cyberinfrastructure as a Cybersecurity Center of Excellence that will help solve the computer and software security challenges.

The center will be the first hub of the Indiana Information Sharing and Analysis Center in Indianapolis. It's a public-private partnership among the state, Purdue University and Intel.
