More than five years after a double homicide in Delphi, state police announced at a press conference Monday morning they have made an arrest in the case.

Police investigating the unsolved slayings of two teenage girls killed during a 2017 hiking trip in northern Indiana said Friday they will hold a news conference Monday to provide an update on their investigation.

Ohio's U.S. senators said Thursday that they have lined up bipartisan support in both houses of Congress for new legislation that would restore the terminated pensions of more than 20,000 salaried retirees of Delphi, including more than 4,000 in Indiana.

Indiana State Police said in a statement that the state agency and other law enforcement departments "continue to actively investigate all tips and leads we receive" in the 2017 killings of Liberty German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13.

Officials on Monday released video, audio and a new sketch of the man suspected of killing 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams.

Authorities now say theyre also looking for a car which was parked at the Delphi Child Protective Services office on the day of the murders.

An update Wednesday gave little information suggesting authorities are any closer to catching the killer. A reward of more than $225,000 is still available for information leading to the conviction of the murderer.
