Republicans can point to victories in 70 mayors races across the state the the most ever. Democrats can celebrate huge margins of victory in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne and surprising upsets in Hamilton County.

Indiana Democratic Party chief John Zody says nationally, suburbs are starting to vote more Democrat and Indiana is following the trend.

This is the county's first year as a vote center county -- people may use any of the 273 voting centers. The county also moved to electronic ballots last May, and this is the first general election with those ballots.
