Subarus Lafayette auto plant began vaccinating workers on Friday as part of a statewide plan to ramp up vaccinations.

The Lafayette Police Department is investigating shots fired into the Tippecanoe County Democratic Party headquarters they say took place sometime overnight Wednesday.

According to a statement released Wednesday, Roswarski received his positive test results around 5 p.m. Tuesday. He will remain at home in quarantine for the next two weeks.

The expansion will create space for the automotive manufacturer to assemble transmissions in-house and increase service part production.

Each school district will be on an extended spring break, which will end on March 31. On April 1, classes will resume using remote instruction, which will continue until at least April 3.

The company says the $158 million investment will help reduce costs and increase growth at the facility.

Since the plant began operation in 1989, its annual production has increased from 67,000 vehicles to a projected 410,000 vehicles in 2020.
