Gov. Eric Holcomb vetoed House Bill 1041 late Monday. He said in his veto letter, the bill sent to him fell short of providing clarity and one consistent state policy regarding the fairness in K-12 sports in Indiana.

House Bill 1041 didn't get changed at all in the Senate, which means with a majority of the chamber's approval Tuesday, the bill now heads to Gov. Eric Holcomb's desk for his signature. The House approved the bill in January.

A group supporting LGBT students at an Indiana high school has won a court decision that will allow it to raise money and promote meetings.

A judge has granted a preliminary injunction in a case between an east central Indiana high school and a student group represented by the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana, alleging unfair treatment.
