The city of Indianapolis has entered into an agreement with the Department of Justice to review the recent uptick in officer-involved shootings.

One person was killed and five others injured, including an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer, on Sunday morning on the city’s east side.

A man was shot and killed by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers Thursday night. The incident happened on Indianapolis’s near east side as police attempted to stop the 48-year-old man who was wanted on a firearms warrant.

Indianapolis police released edited video of an officer-involved shooting that happened on Oct. 19 on the city’s near south side. But missing body camera footage of the incident is raising concerns.

This marks the 15th incident in which Indianapolis police have been involved in a shooting this year.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department identified the officer who shot and killed a man after a traffic stop on Oct. 24.

The incident marks the third IMPD shooting since Oct. 19, the 10th since the beginning of August, and the 14th since the start of the year.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured three people, including a man who was shot by an off-duty IMPD officer, according to police.

Anthony Maclin, the man who was shot by Indianapolis police while asleep in his grandmother’s driveway last December, has filed a federal lawsuit against the city and police.
