Criticism of the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana came to a head because of the fight over the Girls IN STEM Academy, a proposed charter school in Washington Township.

After months of controversy, an all-girls charter school is one step closer to opening in Washington Township.

The Girls in STEM Academy would be an all-girls charter school. It's a collaborative effort between Paramount Schools of Excellence, Purdue Polytechnic and Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
