Indiana House Republicans will return to the statehouse next week early for the 2026 regular session. Flipping a Northwest Indiana congressional seat held by Democrats for almost a century is a big goal of the mid-decade redistricting push. A man is dead after an attempted arrest resulted in an officer involved shooting Tuesday afternoon in Franklin. One lawmaker plans to author a bill in the coming legislative session aimed at closing child care gaps. The Hamilton County Health Department is trying to help residents better understand how to apply for health insurance. Indiana drivers should expect a packed week on the roads as Thanksgiving travel ramps up across the state. The Indianapolis International Airport is logging record numbers.
