It’s almost time to meet Paris' rising unconventional detective! The all-new drama Maigret premieres on Masterpiece on October 5. Join WFYI and the British Telly Club for an exclusive first look at the series on Tuesday, September 30 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the WFYI Studios. The series follows Chief Inspector Maigret and his team of maverick but loyal detectives, “Les Maigrets,” as they solve a series of complex crimes in Paris. Maigret’s unconventional methods and unique sense of justice put him at odds with his superiors and the judicial system he is supposed to represent. In the series premiere, Maigret is investigating a series of bank robberies that have been plaguing Paris. Ignoring his supervisor’s orders, he turns his attention to the brutal murder of a burglar. Can Maigret juggle both cases and preserve his career?
