2 Hurt In Indianapolis Apartment Complex Blast

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities say a reported explosion at an Indianapolis apartment complex left two people with burns.

Fire Department Capt. Rita Reith told the Indianapolis Star (http://indy.st/1gafQ6l ) that four people were taken to Indiana University Methodist Hospital and two others were taken to Eskenazi Hospital after Thursday night's blast. She says two were burned and the other four were just going to get checked out.

The explosion at the Pangea Riverside Apartments on the city's Westside was reported shortly after 10 p.m. The cause of the blast is under investigation.

The complex is a mix of apartments and town homes and primarily serves as off-campus housing for Marian University students.

Several units were damaged.
