Changes to social media ban bill remove language on curfew for teens

Indiana lawmakers amended a bill regulating children’s access to social media, removing a proposed overnight curfew for teens while keeping age limits and parental permission requirements.

A bill defining sex and gender would clamp down on birth records, schools and prisons

Authored by Sen. Liz Brown (R-Fort Wayne), the legislation effectively bans gender marker changes on birth certificates and defines “gender” as a synonym for “sex,” excluding a person’s “subjective experience" and restricts facilities based on them.
