Fiddling On The Roof

Time for Three, artists in residence for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, staged a performance on the roof of the Hilbert Circle Theatre, Tuesday.

The performance was recorded as part of an upcoming television special produced by WFYI Public Media. Violinists Zach DePue and Nick Kendall, along with bassist Ranaan Meyer dodged spotty rain showers to perform some of their favorite songs. The trio and the TV crew also stormed Monument Circle to stage a rousing rendition of the Mumford and Sons song “Little Lion Man.”

The Time for Three television special is being prepared for an anticipated broadcast release this fall. It is built around one of the trio’s popular “Happy Hour” concerts with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, featuring guest artists Joshua Radin, Lily and Madeline and Tony Styxx.
