Gov. Eric Holcomb joined city leaders from across the state to talk about infrastructure and connectivity in the Hoosier state.

Holcomb’s appearance took place at the French Lick Springs hotel during a convention of mayors and city officials that are part of the organization Accelerating Indiana’s Municipalities.

Holcomb spoke about bringing in new industry to Indiana towns to ensure the future economic vitality of the state.

"We have to make sure that we have safe streets and good schools, all the basics," Holcomb says. "But then in addition to that people are looking for cool places to live, we know that population scarcity is one of the biggest threats that we face as a state."

Holcomb also talked about recent investments in rural internet connectivity and international outreach through facility improvement at the Indianapolis Airport.

Both investments are part of the $1 billion Next Level Initiative that Holcomb announced this summer.
