NDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana health officials are developing screening questionnaires and training videos and setting up a hotline for health providers as the state ramps up measures to protect residents if it gets a case of Ebola.
The Indiana State Department of Health said Thursday it was communicating regularly with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and plans weekly calls with hospitals and local health departments to address concerns.
The department also is working with the Indiana Department of Education to provide Ebola information to school nurses across the state.
Eight people in the United States have been treated for Ebola. They include two nurses who treated a Texas patient who died of the disease.
No cases have been tested for or reported in Indiana.
