IPS To Offer Free Meals Over Winter Break

IPS To Offer Free Meals Over Winter Break

Winter break can be difficult for families who rely on public schools to help feed their children. Over the holidays Indianapolis Public Schools will help ease the burden.

IPS will offer free breakfast or lunch at 16 locations. These locations will be open Dec. 26-28 and January 2-4.

More than 80 percent of IPS students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Anyone under the age of 18 is able to eat for free, regardless of whether they attend an IPS school.

Last winter break, the district served more than 1,600 meals.

A complete list of locations and times can be found at the IPS website.
