INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana University Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on proposed tuition and mandatory fee increases on the Bloomington campus Wednesday before voting on the items.

The hearing is scheduled for 3-3:30 p.m. in the University Tower Ballroom on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

The (Bloomington) Herald-Times reports IU President Michael McRobbie is requesting an increase of about 2.5% for Indiana resident students on the Bloomington campus for each of the next two academic years. He also is asking for an increase of about 3% for nonresident students at the Bloomington campus for the next two academic years. Those percentages are similar to rate increase requests for other campuses.

The public hearing will be streamed live online at https://broadcast.iu.edu/ .
