Metalsmith and jeweler Gina Westergard creates what she calls "functional art." Her newest show, at the Harrison Center, includes vessels and urns created to celebrate the life and death of endangered species.

From WFYI's Arts and Culture Desk, Jill Ditmire spoke via Zoom with Westergard -- who is at her farm in Kansas, where she does her research and finds inspiration for her art.

Westergard’s show, “Angel in the Room” is on display now at The Harrison Center. You can see the show in person or virtually on the organization's website.
