Salesforce Chairman Marc Benioff pledged to train 1 million workers for new tech jobs Thursday at an event in Indianapolis. Presidential adviser Ivanka Trump attended to support his pledge.

The event at the Salesforce tower in downtown Indianapolis highlighted success stories from the company’s online training program and included a brief panel discussion on workforce development and diversity. Afterward, Benioff signed the Trump administration’s “Pledge to America’s Workers.”

Trump says the pledge is part of the White House’s strategy to create new jobs and keep unemployment rates low.

“By supporting the innovative work being done, like this, in states across the country, we have record low unemployment across every demographic," she says.

She adds that, so far, more than 215 companies have signed the pledge.
