Indiana Governor Mike Braun has voiced support for the state’s READI regional grant program, intended to help finance economic development projects statewide. As IPR’s Thomas Ouellette reports, that’s as the new two-year state budget doesn’t include a third round of the grants.

Former Gov. Eric Holcomb funded half of the program's statewide expansion with $6 million in state funding in 2023. Gov. Mike Braun announced in February his administration would eliminate that support.

The 2009 climate "endangerment finding" serves as the scientific and legal basis for many of EPA's rules that limit greenhouse gas emissions from things like cars and coal plants. EPA administrator Lee Zeldin said reversing the finding would be the largest deregulatory action in the country's history.
