Tornado Touchdown Confirmed Southwest of Indy

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (AP) — The National Weather Service confirms a weak tornado briefly touched down in Putnam County southwest of Indianapolis.

The weather service says the EF0 tornado with peak winds of 70 mph touched down for a minute Tuesday evening and traveled about a tenth of a mile outside the town of Cloverdale, about 40 miles southwest of Indianapolis. The weather service says the tornado only damaged two trees.
