Intersection Along I-65 Detour Gets Temporary Stoplight
The intersection is along the detour established by the Indiana Department of Transportation after a 37-mile stretch of Interstate 65 northbound - from Lebanon to Lafayette - had to be closed because of a sinking bridge. Boone County Sheriff Urging INDOT To Install Stoplight At Intersection Along I-65 Detour
Upset after a fatal accident involving a Lebanon woman Tuesday morning, Boone County Sheriff Mike Nielsen took to Facebook to vent and urge the Indiana Department of Transportation to install a stoplight at the intersection of U.S. 52 and State Road 47 -- part of the official detour northbound for Interstate 65, closed by bridge problems in Lafayette.
