Republican U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski was killed Wednesday in a car accident in her northern Indiana District, according to her office.

Republican incumbent Jackie Walorski held onto her U.S. House seat by nearly 15 points over Democratic challenger Mel Hall.

Among Indiana's House delegation, the vote split evenly along part lines: the two Democrats voted no while all seven Republicans voted in favor.
