The Friday Pitch-In
September 25, 2020
Indiana will move into phase five of its reopening plan tomorrow, meaning almost all COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted, but masks will still be mandatory in public places. And a federal judge strikes down a 2019 law that says Hoosiers can’t sue to keep polls open late on Election Day. Today we get updates on these stories and more.
Also, the COVID-19 pandemic is about to coincide with flu season. We talk to the head of the American Red Cross in Indiana, who says what we’re already doing could make this year’s flu season less severe, but we should still be vigilant.
And the deadline for the 2020 census was extended to October 31st. We hear from a campaign manager in charge of promoting the census in Indianapolis.
