Indiana Psychedelic Music Pioneers

Kyle looks back at interviews that he's done with the three of the pioneers of Indiana psychedelic music: Producer Moe Whittemore who founded 700 West records and recorded and released the self-titled debut LP from Beech Grove's Zerfas. The album has been described as the "Sgt. Pepper of the Midwest."; Lester Johnson who co-founded the psychedelic soul group Ebony Rhythm Band.; Ron Matelic of Sir Winston and the Commons and Anonymous. In 1966 Sir Winston and the Commons released one of the first Indiana psychedelic records "Not the Spirit of India.".

Carrington patiently went through EVERY track on that record with me for a special "Nappy Head" edition of Cultural Manifesto.
