“Cabaret Latino” is a bilingual revue of songs celebrating the music of Latin America, from boleros to reggaeton. The show was created and directed by Tom Alvarez, a trailblazing figure in Indiana media and arts. His multifaceted career includes work in television, theatre, journalism, podcasting, and community arts advocacy. Born in Fort Wayne, Alvarez first made waves in the 1970s, when he became the first Latino broadcaster on Indianapolis television. In recent years, Alvarez has gained notoriety as a producer of musical theatre and cabaret.
