What role does your company play in the community?
Wheaton | Bekins educates our neighbors about rogue mover operations and offers household and corporate moving services Indianapolis families and businesses can trust. We are committed to families, which is why we've supported the nonprofit Give Kids The World for more than 20 years. The Florida-based organization has hosted more than 4,000 Hoosier children with critical illnesses and their families since 1986, as well as children from every state and 76 countries.
Why does your organization support WFYI?
Wheaton | Bekins supports WFYI so public media can continue to arm its audience with local news. WFYI offers quality journalism focused on real topics that matter to the Indianapolis community.
Which is your favorite WFYI program, and why?
I'd recommend Legacy List with Matt Paxton; the show is unique in its focus on older adults and celebration of history. Host Matt Paxton spends time getting to know the featured family and learning the memories that last a lifetime. He has a way of listening that lets the older adults shine as they tell their stories.
