Additional Road Repair Funding Moves Forward

Additional Road Repair Funding Moves Forward

A city county council committee is recommending paying $16 million for additional emergency road repairs.

The Public Works Committee voted in favor of spending $8 million from both the Transportation General Fund and Fiscal Stability Fund.

The Department of Public Works says there is  $24 million in emergency repair needs.  Earlier this month, the council approved paying for a third of that.

Paying for the other $16 million now goes to the full council for consideration.
