Calender Is A Guide To Indy's Beauty

Calender Is A Guide To Indy's Beauty

Around 500 businesses have a useful tool aimed at encouraging cleanliness and colorful landscaping in downtown Indianapolis.

The 2014 Beautfication Calendar, created by Indianapolis Dowtown Inc, includes information on the best time to plant, reminders to shovel snow and remove dead plants and the dates to decorate for big downtown events.

Businesses also receive a letter that suggests color themes and flower choices for the year in an effort to have a more cohesive downtown.  One of IDI's many beautification projects is bi-annual flower planting and tree planting is another focus that the calendar points out.

Residents are also encouraged to help keep Indy gorgeous by following the guidelines.  The calendar and color themes are at indydt.com.
