Debate On Marriage Amendment Heats Up

The proposed amendment to Indiana’s constitution banning same-sex marriage was introduced in the House of Representatives Thursday morning. HJR-3, formerly known as HJR-6, is scheduled to go before the House Judiciary Committee on Jan. 13.

House Speaker Brian Bosma, R - Indianapolis; House Minority Leader Scott Pelath, D - Michigan City; Senate Pro Tem David Long, R - Fort Wayne; and Senate Minority Leader Tim Lanane, D - Anderson talked about the controversial legislation during this week’s installment of “Indiana Lawmakers.” 

The entire conversation will air on “Indiana Lawmakers” this Friday at 11 p.m. on WFYI 1 Public Television, and Saturday at 6 a.m. on 90.1 WFYI.
