Indy Parks opens 5 pools, 16 splash pads Memorial Day weekend

Indy Parks will open five swimming pools and sixteen splash pads in time for Memorial Day, with more expected to open in the coming weeks. 

The pools in Ellenberger Park, Garfield Park, Sahm Park and Indy Island will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The pool at Thatcher Park will only be open Monday. 

Most pools are expected to open the weekend of May 31 or early June, according to the Indy Park website.

Pool hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Pools will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Memorial Day.

The following splash pads will open Memorial Day weekend: 

  • Arsenal Park, 1400 E. 46th St.

  • Bel Aire Park, 2901 W. Moorseville Rd.

  • Bertha Ross Park, 3700 N. Clifton Ave.

  • Carson Park, 5400 S. High School Rd.

  • Christian Park, 4125 English Ave.

  • Clayton & LaSalle Park, 401 S. Lasalle St.

  • Dan Wakefield Park, 6051 N. Broadway St.

  • Grassy Creek Park, 10510 E. 30th St.

  • Haughville Park, 520 N. Belleview Pl.

  • Jake Green Park, 1700 Franklin Rd.

  • Municipal Gardens Park, 1831 N. Lafayette Rd.

  • O’Bannon Park, 950 E. 16th St.

  • Riverwood Park, 7201 Crittenden Ave.

  • Stout Field Park, 3820 W. Bradbury Rd.

  • Wes Montgomery Park, 3400 N. Hawthorne Lane

  • Wildwood Park, 8100 Southeastern Ave.
