IndyGo Hosting Public Meetings On Purple Line

IndyGo will host a virtual public meeting and open houses this week for the Purple Line. The 15.2 mile bus rapid transit route will connect Indianapolis and Lawrence.

During the events IndyGo will provide updates to design and alignment and a timeline for the rapid transit project. WFYI’s Taylor Bennett spoke to IndyGo Spokesperson Lesley Gordon about the latest project that follows the Red Line in development and construction.

Scheduled events include:

  • Public Meeting - Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., virtual meeting on Facebook and Zoom
  • Open House - Wed., Aug. 19 | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CAFE Indy
  • Open House - Wed., Aug. 19 | 5 to 7:30 p.m. at CAFE Indy
  • Purple Party - Thurs., Aug. 20 | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carson Transit Center
