Library Offers New Search Site For Kids

Children have a new way to search for thier favorite books online.  The Kids eReading Room is now available as a separate, easy search site from the Indianapolis Public Library.

The collection provides a safe way for school age kids to find eBooks appropriate for thier grade level and interests.

Deb Lambert, director of collection management with the library, says kids can also search by name.

"We have a dedicated character corner which has proven to be very popular," says Lambert "It's everything from Sponge Bob and Caillou to Barbie books."

Library eBooks can be used on most eReaders, tablets and mobile devices, and allow people to check out up to 25 items at a time without having to worry about returning them.
