Pet Drive Honors Officer's Memory

Pet Drive Honors Officer's Memory

A pet drive in front of City Market is set up to honor a fallen officer.  Officer Rod Bradway and his wife were animal lovers and collected supplies for lost pets after a deadly tornado in Oklahoma earlier this year.   On Wednesday, City Market Employees and Indianapolis Animal Care and Control accepted all sorts of items for pets in need.

Working the drive, Chelsea Marburger says she believes Officer Bradway would approve.

"We thought what better way to honor his memory than to have this," Marburger says.

A life-long animal advocate, Bradway and his family also volunteered at German Shepard Rescue Indy.  Bradway was killed after being shot while responding to a domestic call last week.  People can still donate to the shelter in memory of Officer Bradway.  A list of needed supplies and volunteer opportunities can be found online at indy.gov
