INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The National Weather Service says statewide tornado drills will be conducted across Indiana Tuesday.

The tornado drills will be conducted at 10:15 a.m. and 7:35 p.m. Tuesday. In the event that severe weather forces the postponement of the drills, they will be held the following day.

The drills will start with test tornado warnings issued by Weather Service offices serving Indiana, triggering programmed electronic devices and activation of many outdoor warning sirens.

The Weather Service, several state agencies, the Indiana Broadcasters Association, the American Red Cross, and the amateur radio community will conduct a severe weather preparedness campaign all of next week.
