A teacher who was fired from an Indianapolis Catholic school last month because he is in a same-sex marriage reached a settlement with the school.

School officials at Cathedral High School said this week the archbishop made clear it had to cut ties with the teacher or separate from the Catholic Church.

Less than a week after the Archdiocese of Indianapolis split with a Catholic high school because it refused to fire a gay teacher, another city high school says it let go a gay teacher so it can remain in the diocese.
