Organized efforts to prevent certain policy changes in schools have disrupted school board meetings across the country, and educators and school officials are calling for more civility in places where it's happening in Indiana.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita released a document this week called the "Parent Bill of Rights" that, in part, condemns teaching about race in schools.

The Noblesville Schools superintendent said during a community meeting that the district does not teach critical race theory. The debate in Hamilton County comes amidst a surging local and national controversy over how students are discussing racism in the classroom.
