A grand jury is expected to have a decision in the police shooting death of Dreasjon Reed this week.

Reed was killed six months ago following a police chase that streamed live on FaceBook. A six person grand jury will determine whether or not to indict IMPD Officer De'Joure Mercer, who shot Reed.

Businesses have boarded up downtown in anticipation of protests. A special prosecutor in the case called for the grand jury nearly three months ago.

IMPD says Reed pulled a gun on Officer Mercer. The family disbutes that.

A written statement from attorneys for the family said, "We are hopeful that the Grand Jury will see through the lies of IMPD."
