INDOT will host a public information meeting to discuss the project and answer questions from the public on Monday, Feb. 12

INDOT's new mobile app reports information for interstates, U.S. routes and state highways in Indiana.

Crews plan to open to three lanes in each direction on a heavily traveled stretch of I-69 northeast of Indianapolis by Friday morning.

INDOT says the $19.6 million project rebuilding six bridges at the southside interchange is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

The study, done by an outside consulting firm, was provided this week to the governor, the budget committee and the legislative council.

The study will include most of I-65 and I-70 across Indiana and I-94 in northwestern Indiana. INDOT said last week it also wanted to take a closer look at possible tolls for I-465.

The planned project would add a lane for both northbound and southbound traffic on a 7-mile section between Pendleton and Anderson.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says the $2 million project will begin as early as December and should be complete by next summer.

Tolls began Dec. 30 on three bridges connecting Louisville, Kentucky, and southern Indiana.

To qualify, communities need to design, develop, purchase land and bid out the projects within five years.
